Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has started considering increasing the number of teams in the 50-over World Cup.
According to the details, 14 teams are likely to participate in the 2023 World Cup, the members of the World Body confirmed to the foreign website.
It should be noted that the World Cup is held every five years, ten teams participated in the 2019 World Cup.
According to the report, 14 teams are being considered to play in the World Cup from 2023 to 2031. Earlier, 14 teams have participated in three World Cups in 2003, 2007 and 2011.

It is to be noted that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has started considering relocating the T20 World Cup in view of the deteriorating situation in Corona.
Officials of the Indian Cricket Board had indicated that in view of the deteriorating situation in Corona, consideration is now being given to host the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
According to media reports, cricket board officials said that “if Corona’s condition does not improve, they will be forced to move the event to the UAE and the series will not be played until the situation returns to normal.”
