Turkey: Garment export target set at 20 billion
According to a report in the Turkish daily , Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly Ismail Gul said that in 2020 garment exports increased by 10%. With this in mind, efforts are being made to complete the 12-month export target in eight months.
Garment exports to Canada exceeded 10 100 million after a 50% increase. Similarly, Turkey exported garments worth 22 220 million to Kazakhstan, 124.6 million to the Czech Republic and 793.6 million to the United States.
Ismail Gul said the corona vaccine would improve the situation and help strengthen the textile industry.
On the recent Free Trade Agreement with the United Kingdom, he said that the agreement would boost Turkey’s trade with the United Kingdom.
