The United Kingdom has made all preparations to extradite Julian Assange to the United States
Washington – The British government has ordered the extradition of WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange to the United States.
Home Secretary Preeti Patel signed the extradition order. It should be noted that this is after the decision of the British court in April that Assange can be sent to the United States.
The case was with the Secretary of the Interior after the Supreme Court ruled last month that there were no legal questions over the assurances given by US officials as to what would happen to Julian Assange.
Preity Patel has seen the green light on which WikiLeaks immediately issued a statement saying that she would appeal against the decision. “Today is not the end of the fight, this is just the beginning of a new legal battle. We will appeal through the legal system. The next appeal will be in the High Court,” he said.
The statement said that anyone who cares about freedom of expression should be “deeply ashamed” that the Home Secretary approved the extradition of Julian Assange. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture, and that his confession had been obtained through torture.
