KABUL: The Taliban have seized control of Jawzjan’s capital, Shibar Ghan, after Afghanistan’s Nimroz province.
Talking to media, Deputy Governor Jawzjan confirmed the Taliban’s occupation of Shiberghan and said that the Taliban had taken control of the capital of Jawzjan.
According to Khair Agency, Shibar Ghan is the second provincial capital under Taliban control.
The Afghan Taliban also set fire to the house of Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum yesterday and seized the Sheberghan police headquarters.
It is believed that the Taliban had captured Zaranj, the capital of Nimroz province, yesterday. In addition, the Taliban have taken control of about 200 districts in Afghanistan.
