Sami Chaudhry’s column on Pakistan vs Zimbabwe: Opportunity to adopt the habit of winning outside the home
The year was 2013 and the Pakistani team was on a tour of Zimbabwe. Misbah-ul-Haq was the captain of the Test team. Pakistan had won the first Test of the two-match series and the second match was being played at Harare Sports Club.
Pursuing a small goal in the fourth innings can sometimes be dramatic. Something similar happened in the fourth innings of the match where one end was held by Misbah-ul-Haq but the wickets kept falling from the other side till Misbah was left alone and Pakistan was a little behind the target.
It was Zimbabwe’s third victory against Pakistan in the longest format and a defeat for Misbah-ul-Haq’s team that no one wanted to remember for long. But when such painful moments are erased from memory!
