PML-N demands withdrawal of power tariff hike
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Muftah Ismail has demanded withdrawal of the recent hike in electricity prices.
Explaining the reasons for the increase in the price of electricity, Muftah Ismail has claimed that once again a new robbery of Rs 200 billion has been put in the pockets of the people. He said that electricity prices were being increased as revolving credit reached its highest level.
League leader Muftah Ismail said that our government had written off the revolving loan of Rs 1,036 billion, which included both the power deficit and the bank loan. The revolving debt of Rs 1,036 billion has exceeded Rs 2,400 billion.
