Pakistan are just one wicket away from victory in the second Test against Zimbabwe
The second Test between Pakistan and Zimbabwe is being played in Harare. In response to Pakistan’s 510, the Zimbabwean team is facing a follow-on with a total score of 132. Pakistani bowlers Noman Ali’s brilliant 5 and Shaheen Afridi’s With 4 wickets in hand, Zimbabwe have managed only 205 runs so far while they have to cross the mountain of 173 runs to avoid defeat while Pakistan is just 1 wicket away from victory by one innings.
Earlier in the second Test of the two-match series, Pakistan declared their innings at 510 on the second day after Abid Ali’s double century and Azhar Ali’s century in the first innings, in response to which the hosts took 4 wickets by the end of the day. Scored 52 runs at a loss.
When Zimbabwe started the innings on the third day of play, Pakistan needed more than 450 runs to cover the deficit of the first innings. However, the hosts could not stand on the wicket for long due to the superb bowling of Hassan Ali and Sajid Khan. After adding 84 runs, the entire team returned to the pavilion with 132 runs.
For the national team, Hassan Ali and Sajid Khan bowled brilliantly and took 5 and 2 wickets respectively while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Tabish Khan took one wicket each.
