Oman’s important decision for the locals
Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has announced that a number of positions in the public and private sectors will be reserved for locals.
According to Omani media reports, the Sultanate of Oman has a program to reserve a number of occupations in the public and private sectors for local citizens.
The Omani Ministry of Labor will inform locals at a press conference on Wednesday which jobs they can apply for in government departments, agencies, ministries and private companies and institutions.
The government has decided to reserve most positions in both public and private institutions for locals.
The Ministry of Labor will announce several new schemes to rectify the deteriorating balance of the local labor market and provide maximum employment opportunities for local citizens.
The Omani Ministry of Labor says the press conference will also explain what steps the government has taken in 2020 to provide employment to local citizens and to what extent success has been achieved.
