Notice issued to the director and producer of ‘Mirzapur’ for defaming Mirzapur
The Indian Supreme Court has issued notice to the director and producer of the popular web series ‘Mirzapur’.
According to Indian media, a resident of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court, alleging that Mirzapur has been defamed in a web series by showing it as an area of thugs and thugs. According to the petitioner, Mirzapur is a culturally diverse area but the film has misrepresented it, which has damaged the city’s reputation.
The Indian Supreme Court has summoned the director and producer of the web series on March 8.
It may be recalled that earlier a case was registered against the producers of the web series Ratish Sadhwani and Farhan Akhtar for insulting religious sentiments and misrepresenting the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Actors Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and others have played the lead roles in the web series ‘Mirzapur’ while the first season was released in November 2018 which was much loved by the fans and now also the second season of this web series. It’s on air.
