Its effects have been noted on unhealthy food shops near the house and on nearby houses. For this, data and information has been taken from 12167 people from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka during the year 2018 to 2020.
First, information on diabetes and glucose was obtained from people living in cities and villages. Then a map was drawn of the food shops around his house, especially the fast food restaurants. In particular, poultry fast food outlets 300 meters away from the house, ie on foot, were specially implemented. In addition, food items found in shops were added to the list of healthy and unhealthy foods.
It turned out that people who live near fast food, sometimes even out of the slightest hunger, go out to get food and satisfy their hunger. In this regard, easy access to fast food outlets increases the risk of type 2 diabetes by up to 8%. If there is a fast food shop near the house, the average blood sugar level can rise to 2.14 mg per deciliter.
On the other hand, it is more prevalent among women and high-income people who can’t stop fast food from being eaten by appetite. Diabetes was more prevalent in such people. However, there is a shortcoming in this report as people were asked to report the latest blood sugar levels and readings and for some reason this data appears to be consistently empty.
In their findings, experts say that if you have fast food and soft drink stores near your home, you need to take care of yourself and avoid getting caught up in this cycle.
