According to the report, the process of administering Russian vaccine Sputnik has been started in a private hospital located in Clifton area of Karachi. The Drug Regulatory Authority has fixed the price of two doses of this vaccine at Rs 12,268.
The former captain of the national cricket team arrived at the vaccination center at South City Hospital in Clifton where he reviewed the arrangements.
Talking to ARY News, Shahid Afridi said that the Sindh government did a good job by allowing private hospitals to vaccinate, now people can come here and get vaccinated.
“At the moment, people over the age of 50 are being vaccinated. I will vaccinate at my age,” he said. The former captain appealed to the citizens to strictly adhere to the Corona SOPs and wear face masks.
It may be recalled that after the permission of the Sindh government, the process of vaccination has been started in OMI, South City and Zia-ud-Din Hospitals of Karachi, where citizens of all ages can get vaccinated by paying a fee. According to medical experts, private vaccinations will reduce the pressure on government hospitals.
