Former Australian cricketer kidnapped for ransom revealed
Australia’s Stuart McGill, who played 44 Tests and three ODIs, was abducted on April 14 in Sydney for ransom, according to British media reports. He was also tortured during this time.
According to reports, McGill was released an hour later, but no statement has yet been made by the Australian player about the incident. Police later arrested four kidnappers and sent them to jail.
Stuart McGill, 50, represented Australia in international cricket from 1998 to 2008.
