Corona vaccine also protects against other dangerous diseases, research says
Washington: A recent US study on the corona vaccine has revealed that the corona vaccine protects against other dangerous diseases as well as plays an important role in reducing mortality.
According to Al Jazeera, figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States show that the number of people who do not get vaccinated is four-and-a-half times more likely to be infected with dangerous diseases. The death toll among those who have not been vaccinated is 11 times higher than that of fully vaccinated people.
“Research shows that vaccination protects us from the complications of code 19,” said Rochelle Velensky, director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
He added that the study included 600,000 cases of code 19 admitted to hospitals in major cities of 13 states between April and mid-July this year.
Valensky says data from the last two months of the study show that at a time when the corona delta variant was wreaking havoc in the country, the number of people not vaccinated was four and a half times higher. The number of admissions was more than 10 times and the death rate was 11 times more.
He said that while the number of people who had been fully vaccinated was not only hospitalized and the mortality rate but also the prevalence rate of Delta variant was very low and especially in people aged 75 years and above.
