Better trust between boards and franchisees
PSL 6 was stopped after 14 matches due to corona cases. The cricket board had set up a fact-finding committee comprising two doctors to find out the reasons for the failure of the bio-bubble. The report was handed over to chairman Ehsan Mani. Surprisingly, the board did not share it with the most important stakeholder franchises. He feared that the report would be leaked to the media, so franchise officials were asked to come to the PCB offices at Gaddafi Stadium to read the report. Some team owners are not happy with this situation, they started seeing the aspect of their insult in it, they think it will increase the atmosphere of mistrust.
A franchise official said that parts of the report were shared with “our own”, indicating who we or the franchise leaked the news to the media. “We also found out that The franchises were blamed for the failure, although the PCB is to blame for what happened.
According to sources, so far no franchise owner has gone to the board office to read the report, only a team manager level official had gone to Gaddafi Stadium.
When contacted in this regard, Director Media PCB Samiul Hassan Burney said that the franchisees can come to the office of the board and see the report, they have been informed about it, the interested teams have done so, who have not yet reported. The doors of Gaddafi Stadium are still open for them to see but want to see.
It is to be noted that the relationship between the PCB and the franchisees on many issues, including the financial model, is not yet pleasant.
