Ben Stoke has been named Cricketer of the Year for the second year in a row
England’s Ben Stokes has been named Cricketer of the Year for the second year in a row.
Stokes has scored 641 Test runs this year at an average of 58.27. He was instrumental in helping England win their first World Cup title in 2019
Ben Stoke also played a key role in defeating Australia in the Ashes Test at Headingley. Stokes is the first England player to be selected for the award for the second time.
The Wisden Cricketer of the Year is given each year for outstanding performances in the previous English season.
Apart from Ben Stoke, Pakistani wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan was also named Cricketer of the Year this year for his outstanding performance in the UK.
Muhammad Rizwan had scored an average of over 40,000 runs in three Test matches against England.
Jason Holder, Zack Crowley, Dom Sibley and Darren Stevens have also been added to this year’s Cricketer of the Year list.
Muhammad Rizwan is the 18th Pakistani player to be selected in the Wisden Cricketer of the Year.
