5 killed in Belgium school building collapse
BRUSSELS: A school building under construction in Belgium suddenly collapsed, killing five workers and seriously injuring nine others.
According to the international news agency, construction work was going on in the school building in Antwerp, Belgium, during which the building suddenly collapsed. 14 workers were buried under the rubble of the building.
The accident happened due to haste. The school was to open on September 1 at the start of the new school year following the Corona epidemic, forcing workers to complete the building as soon as possible.
Rescue agencies have recovered five bodies from the wreckage while nine people were injured, three of whom are said to be in critical condition. There is a chance in increase of casualties.
